How to check your PC specs before selling

Buyers need clear specs to understand what your PC is worth. A listing that says "gaming PC" is much less useful than one that includes the exact CPU, GPU, RAM, and storage.

Accurate specs also reduce back-and-forth questions and make the selling process faster.

On Windows, open Settings, then System, then About. This shows the processor, installed RAM, system type, and Windows version.

You can also open Task Manager and check the Performance tab for CPU, memory, disks, and GPU information.

Task Manager can show the GPU name under the Performance tab. Device Manager can also list display adapters, but Task Manager is usually easier for beginners.

For storage, check whether the PC has an SSD or HDD and how much capacity is available. If you know whether it is NVMe or SATA, include that too.

Include the exact CPU model, GPU model, RAM capacity, storage type and size, case condition, any known issues, and whether accessories are included.

Photos also matter. Show the front, back, inside if safe, and any visible model labels or serial stickers you are comfortable sharing.
